...Oh, you wish to know about my history? W-Well... It is rather a long story, but I suppose if you do not mind that, I could tell you. I am afraid I do not remember the earliest years very well, but I expect my story began when the Moors invaded the Iberian peninsula in 711AD. Though they conquered the land belonging to Mister Spain and Mister Portugal, the Great Charlemagne – the King of the Franks – created a buffer zone to prevent the Moors from advancing northwards into Mister France's territory. This was a collection of lordships and counties that roughly covered the Pyranees mountains, and were collectively were named the Marca Hispanica. I believe after the Moors were repelled successfully said lordships began to dissolve. It is a traditional belief that Charlemagne granted a charter to the people of the Marca Hispanica in return for their aid in fighting the Moors, and soon my land was formed from the Diocese of Urgell.
My history has otherwise been very simple, in comparison to those of many other countries. Despite the charter I had been granted, I do not suppose I was truly independent for quite a long time. In the 11th century, the Count of Foix and the Bishop of La Seu d'Urgell began to dispute over Sovereignty of my land... This was solved in 1278 when they signed a pareage to agree to joint ruling, which set in stone my borders and political form...
...Ah! I hope this is not too long... Please forgive me if so; I do not think there is much more to speak of! My life from then on was rather quiet, despite being annexed a few times. I am a neutral state, though following the invasion of Mister France's land, I did happen to enter World War I... Until then, I had been isolated in the Pyranees, but in the 20th century, I began to meet many other nations. Though the Bishop of Urgell and the President of France are still co-princes of my country, I formally became parliamentary democracy in 1993... That is roughly what I can recall of my history... I very much hope that was not too long a story!{personality}It is difficult for me to describe myself, but I suppose I am quite a simple person. Many seem to think I am quite shy and... Andorra has a tendency to avoid revealing what she really thinks or feels, especially if it may come across as complaining or general negativity.
→There are conspiracy theories that the charter given by Charlemagne was faked to give the Andorran people an independent state. The charter is said to be kept under lock and key by the Andorran government, and hasn't seen the light of day for a long time. Because of this, Andorra takes her independence very seriously; more seriously than she lets on. This fear of disappearing lessened in 1993 when Spain and France gained considerably less control over the state, but it still lingers sometimes.}
